About this blog
Way back in 2005, when my friend Fossy started a web server, he chose the domain name iwasno.net, which stands for "I was no net", colloquial austrian for "I don't know yet".
I soon created a rudimentary home page and set up scripts to collect and plot statistics from the network time protocol (NTP) server. Since I was using several computers, bookmarks saved in browsers were cumbersome. When I discovered the now obsolete "social bookmarking" site del.icio.us, I started to collect my bookmarks there. Later I copied my collection of bookmarks to a Shaarli instance on this server.
Some time later we started a Wiki, which was used mainly for mathematical puzzles.
Inspired by the blogs of Tim Bradshaw, Sacha Chua, Sandra Snan and Karl Voit I had thought about starting a blog for some time. Since I am using org-mode extensively at work and for some of my unpublished projects, I wanted to use a static site generator which accepts org-mode inputs. Bastian's org-static-blog looked interesting when I first found it, reading Dou-Meishi's TryOrgStaticBlog convinced me to try it.
For feedback, suggestions etc. you can reach me via e-mail to r.blog pm at the obvious domain, replacing pm by the value 5 073 548 261 of the Mailüfterl prime.
