  • gLAB Tool Suite — Research group of Astronomy and GEomatics. gAGE — UPC. Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya
    gLAB is a software tool suite developed under an European Space Agency (ESA) Contract by the research group of Astronomy and Geomatics (gAGE) from the Universitat Politecnica de Catalunya (UPC), is an interactive educational multipurpose package to process and analyse GNSS data.

    gLAB performs precise modeling of GNSS observables (pseudorange and carrier phase) at the centimetre level, allowing both standalone GPS positioning and PPP. Every single error contributor may be assessed independently, which, in turn, provides a major educational benefit. gLAB is adapted to a variety of standard formats like RINEX-3.00, SP3, ANTEX and SINEX files, among others. Moreover, functionality is also included for GPS, Galileo and GLONASS, allowing performing some data analysis with real multi-constellation data.

    The gLAB software tool is quite flexible, able to run under Linux, Windows, and Mac operating systems and is provided free of charge by ESA Education Office to universities and GNSS professionals.

  • Pocket SDR - An Open-Source GNSS SDR
    Pocket SDR is an open-source GNSS (Global Navigation Satellite System) receiver based on SDR (software defined radio) technology. It consists of a RF front-end device, some utilities for the device and GNSS-SDR APs (application programs) written in Python and C. It supports almost all signals for GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, QZSS, BeiDou, NavIC and SBAS.
    From Tomoji Takasu, the author of rtklib.
    https://www.rtklib.com/rtklib_sdr.htm has a nice table describing GNSS signals.

  • Ginan is a processing package being developed to processes GNSS observations for geodetic applications.
    We currently support the processing of:

    the United States' Global Positioning System (GPS);
    the Russian GLONASS system (GLONASS);
    the European Union's Galileo system (Galileo);
    the Chinese Navigation Satellite System (BeiDou);
    the Japanese QZSS develop system (QZSS).
    We are actively developing Ginan to have the following capabilities and features:

    Precise Orbit & Clock determination of GNSS satellites (GNSS POD);
    Precise Point Positioning (PPP) of GNSS stations in network and individual mode;
    Real-Time corrections for PPP users;
    Analyse full, single and multi-frequency, multi-GNSS data;
    Delivering atmospheric products such as ionosphere and troposphere models;
    Servicing a wide range of users and receiver types;
    Delivering outputs usable and accessible by non-experts;
    Providing both a real-time and off-line processing capability;
    Delivering both position and integrity information;
    Routinely produce IGS final, rapid, ultra-rapid and real-time (RT) products;
    Model Ocean Tide Loading (OTL) displacements.
    The software consists of two main components: Network Parameter Estimation Algorithm (PEA) and Precise Orbit Determination (POD).

  • GitHub - odrisci/peregrine: Peregrine software GNSS receiver.
    Peregrine is a fast and flexible open-source software GNSS receiver. It can be used as a standalone application to post-process GNSS data all the way to PVT solutions or as from within IPython as a toolkit for GNSS data exploration.

    Peregrine is written in Python for flexibility and ease of development and uses the libswiftnav C library for speed.

  • FGI-GSRx software receiver | National Land Survey of Finland
    The FGI-GSRx software receiver has been extensively used as a research platform for the last one decade in different national and international Research and Development (R&D) projects to develop, test and validate novel receiver processing algorithms for robust, resilient and precise Position, Navigation and Timing (PNT). At present, the FGI-GSRx can process GNSS signals from multiple constellations, including GPS, Galileo, BeiDou, GLONASS, and NavIC. The software receiver is intended to process raw Intermediate Frequency (IF) signals in post-processing. The processing chain of the software receiver consists of GNSS signal acquisition, code and carrier tracking, decoding the navigation message, pseudorange estimation, and Position, Velocity, and Timing (PVT) estimation. The software architecture is built in such a way that any new algorithm can be developed and tested at any stage in the receiver processing chain without requiring significant changes to the original codes.

  • Help me test gps-share
    See also https://zee-nix.blogspot.com/2017/05/introducing-gps-share.html and https://github.com/zeenix/gps-share
    gps-share is a utility to share your GPS device on local network. It has two goals:

    Share your GPS device on the local network so that all machines in your home or office can make use of it.
    Enable support for standalone (i-e not part of a cellular modem) GPS devices in Geoclue. Since Geoclue has been able to make use of network NMEA sources since 2015, gps-share works out of the box with Geoclue.

    The latter means that it is a replacement for GPSD and Gypsy. While "why not GPSD?" has already been documented, Gypsy has been unmaintained for many years now. I did not feel like reviving a dead project and I really wanted to code in Rust language so I decided to create gps-share.
