  • Auch Quanten halten sich an das Entropie-Gesetz
The apparent contradiction between quantum mechanics, where the von Neumann entropy stays constant and the second law of thermodynamics can be resolved by using Shannon entropy.

  • How Unix Spell Ran in 64kB RAM
"How do you fit a dictionary in 64kb RAM? Unix engineers solved it with clever data structures and compression tricks. Here's the fascinating story behind it."

  • The Ramanujan Machine
The Ramanujan Machine project is an artificial intelligence project that specializes in automated conjecture generation in number theory. The project was described in detail in the paper "Generating conjectures on fundamental constants with the Ramanujan Machine" by Gal Raayoni, Shahar Gottlieb, Yahel Manor, George Pisha, Yoav Harris, Uri Mendlovic, Doron Haviv, Yaron Hadad, and Ido Kaminer. The paper, which appeared in Nature in 2021, gives several examples of automatically generated Ramanujan-style conjectures. https://www.ramanujanmachine.com/

  • ‎_ rendering
release7.8.03.346.g1915.dirty after the first paragraph is rendered incorrectly as release7.8.03.346.g1915.dirty.
    This can be fixed by
    #+OPTION ^:{}
will yield correctly rendered underscore characters.
    #+begin_quote [[info:org#Export settings]]
    ‘^:’
Toggle TeX-like syntax for sub- and superscripts.  If you write
"^:{}", ‘a_{b}’ will be interpreted, but the simple ‘a_b’ will be
        left as it is (‘org-export-with-sub-superscripts’).

  • Complex Multiplication (CM)
The CM software implements the construction of ring class fields of imaginary quadratic number fields and of elliptic curves with complex multiplication via floating point approximations. Additionally it provides an implementation of the fastECPP algorithm for proving primality of integers. It consists of libraries that can be called from within a C program and of executable command line applications. For the implemented algorithms, see A. Enge, The complexity of class polynomial computation via floating point approximations, Mathematics of Computation 78 (266), 2009, pp. 1089–1107.

  • GitHub - fukamachi/cl-project: Generate modern project skeletons
    From the author's description:
    1. Flexible templates
CL-Project supports more parameters to embed, by using CL-EMB to represent the skeleton files (See "cl-project/skeleton/").

    2. One package per file style (Modern)
A modern CL project should be in accordance with some rules. For instance, one file must have one package in it.

    3. Recommends unit testing
Modern projects should have some unit tests. CL-Project generates a system for unit testing, so you can begin writing unit tests as soon as the project is generated.
